Gutmann heavy-duty transports … just take a ride in your mind …
Storage/transhipment
We have our own in-house storage and heavy-lift logistics platform. Unique in the heart of Europe.
Optimally located in the two-country corner of Germany and France with connections to the Rhine port of Strasbourg and Kehl. Project planning of logistics for large machinery with interim storage facilities. Here we offer you the ideal space for your valuable goods with a total area of almost 100,000 m2 (including approx. 15,000 m2 of hall space).
Loading and unloading
Every handling of goods requires the use of machinery and means costs. Clever loading and unloading guarantees safe and clean handling of all materials. Our team ensures that your goods are optimally loaded and unloaded through gentle process sequences. In cooperation with our partner MSG, one of the most renowned crane companies in Germany, we offer professional solutions even for the heaviest loads.
Organisation of traffic management measures
If you have big plans with us, there is a lot to think about. Large goods need space and appropriate precautions to ensure that your cargo reaches its destination undamaged and that roads and nature are protected.
Therefore, we also take care of all measures that have to be carried out due to official orders (e.g. disassembly and reassembly of traffic signs, traffic lights and other traffic facilities, etc.), all other infrastructure measures that are necessary to comply with traffic safety obligations and to carry out the transport (e.g. laying sheet metal to pass over traffic islands, removal and renaturation of roadside plantings) as well as police measures (e.g. bridge and road closures, traffic rerouting, etc.).
Transport escorts
The organisation of escorts for our heavy transports with BF3/4 vehicles in Europe is also part of our services. For this purpose, we work together with high-performance partners in other European countries.
Route planning and testing
As is well known, many roads lead to Rome. Many factors influence the execution of a transport from A to B and its costs. This applies all the more to heavy goods transports, which are not allowed to use every route. That is why we search for and test the most suitable route for your requirements and demands.
We analyse and test route sections before applying for the necessary permits and organising the means of transport. Our experienced staff take into account the individual effort, costs, transport duration and safety of potential routes. We carry out route tests not only nationally, but also across borders.
Among other things, we measure bridge heights, bridge widths as well as curve radii and check suitable parking options for stopovers, because only a few parking spaces are designed for the special dimensions of project cargo. This way, your transport stays safely on track later on.
